Happy Memorial Day

What a beautiful weekend.  Warm weather, good food and family.  It just gets me geared up for summer. Amanda is ready for summer.  She created a cute double spread layout using August Digital Kit of her son doing a great summer time activity.

Yum... hope they made blueberry pancakes & muffins!!!

Hot

The temperatures are rising as summer approaches.  The temperature is not the only hot thing around here... my design team is on fire.  They create wonderful things time and time again.  Casey created a 12 x 12 layout with a photo of her beautiful little one.  Those eyes are adorable.

Casey used my favorite paper design as the background and the lined paper is a great scrapbook staple.

Hybrid Layout

Sharmaine created a hybrid layout using the August Digital Kit. She used several elements from the kit.  She cut some thin strips of the Indian Summer paper and added some of the paper to foam pop dots which added some dimension to the page as well as some pops of blue.  Sharmaine printed out all the paper (with exception of the card stock) the journaling spot, border, tab, and the Attitude is everything label from the kit.  I love her easy breezy way she designs.

Time

Time is everything.  If I had more time I can spend it with my children.  If I had more time I would have a date with my husband.  If I had more time I could design more.  Time is pretty limited around here and before I know it my kids have grown up and it felt like yesterday they were in kindergarten. I guess I feel more emotional about this because my daughter is completing her last year of junior high and she moves onto high school (which she can not wait for).  Also my son plays on two soccer teams but I remember him as a scared little 5 year old crying on the field because he did not know what to do.  Life moves so fast and I want to soak up as much of them while I still can.

Patty is so good at documenting life and their little occurrences of her children.  I do not get to see her and her family but maybe once a year, but I feel so up to date with them because of her quick scrapbook pages.  Patty (another gal short on time) used the August Digital Kit to create this simple 12 x 12 digital layout.  Is it great...she can open a kit, place her photos, drop in a few embellishments and text.  Done!

Happy Wednesday

Hello.  I can't believe how fast May is flying by.  I am sure everyone is busy with end of the school year hub bub.  Scrapping time is limited for sure.  This is the best time to be a digital scrapper.  No time for set up and clean up.  Plus a bonus is that there are no worries on leaving your project out on a table or desk exposed to little fingers or a furry friend who might mess with your project.  All you need to do is click save and it will be there when you return.  It is a perfect creative outlet for me right now, especially with all our running around in my house.

Kelly knows busy.  She has three children.  She always creates some knock out layouts of her kiddos.  Kelly used the new kit August to create her 12 x 12 layout.

Happy Mother's Day

Hello.  I hope you all are having a wonderful day and spending it with the people you love.  I had a great weekend.  My birthday was Friday and today is Mother's Day so I had a doubly nice weekend.  Since it was my birthday I wanted to showcase a couple beautiful hybrid birthday cards that Patricia made with the new kit August available here.

New Kit and a Spring Layout

Hello.  We are absolutely having some summer type weather here in the Northeast.  It hit 92 this weekend.  My son had a soccer tournament (which they took first place) and we all got lots of sun despite the numerous slathering of sunscreen.  So because summer is right around the corner, I named this kit August.  You may recognize this from a few months past.  It was popular so I created a few new items to coordinate with the the paper.  If you have the papers, you can pick up the borders or embellishments in a separate kit.  You can take a look here.

   

Well... it is still spring no matter what the temp is.  Joyce created a beautiful layout with the Birds, Blooms & Bikes Digital Kit.

Diversity & Sneak Peek

I love how diverse my design team is.  They are not a typical design team for a digital design company.  They really push the envelope in different way to create with a digital kit.  I always been a graphic artist and love my computer but I too started scrapbooking the traditional way.  So when I see a hybrid project who uses the best of both digital and traditional scrapbooking... that is exciting.  Mimi is one of those designers.  She is not afraid to print out what she likes and create some unique projects.  Mimi created two projects with Birds, Blooms and Bike Digital Kit.  She created an 8 1/2 x 11 layout and...
