Hope you all are enjoying your weekend. Here in Pennsylvania, it is finally beautiful. We had a gorgeous Saturday and Sunday is expected to be more of the same. I opened the windows and listened to the birds chirping, the kids playing and my hubby cutting the grass. It is a good time to fit in this post.
Today's projects are from Pamela Young and Cindy Gilchrist, two of my super-talented digital designers. They blow me away with their creativity, so I needed to show off both of their work.
Pamela created this wall hanging from our Old Fashioned Courtship Digital Kit. I can totally see hanging this in my creative space. I love the sewn on twill tape around the wall hanging.
Our next project is from Cindy. She created a trinket box using the August Digital Kit. Such a cute idea for a gift. You can stick a gift card inside for the lucky recipient.
For this project Cindy used an unfinished wooden box that she found at the craft store. She measured the dimensions of the box and the lid and printed out the digital paper to the sizes she needed to cover them. Once she had the papers adhered to the box and lid, she used a file to remove the excess paper from the edges. Cindy then cut a frame to go on the top of the box and printed a photo which she re-colored from black and white to brown tones to match the papers in the kit. She layered the photo under the frame on the lid and added digital flowers that she printed and cut out. Cindy then added a bow made from burlap with a button in the center over the flowers. In addition to personalizing the box with a photo, Cindy printed and cut out one of the digital labels from the kit and added my daughter's initials in chipboard letters to it. She punched holes in the sides of the label and tied it around the box with hemp cord, attaching a heart charm where She tied the cord. To finish the box, Cindy added four round wooden knobs (also found at the craft store) to the bottom of the box for "feet". Cindy painted the knobs green to match the papers in the kit. I hope this inspires you to create something fun this week! Thanks Pamela and Cindy! Stacy
